I am lost in a world of fantastic art. This art form has incredible color, simplistic design, hard-hitting lessons, and overwhelming pathos. In this form, the boundaries of the artwork are small: approximately 3" x 5". Such intense imagery to live in such a small space. Yet, the very intensity of this art, and the simplicity of design are what calls to me.
My first Tarot deck was the Mythic Tarot. It is beautifully illustrated. The story that it tells is timeless. My desire to experience more Tarot artwork began to burn...
Access it the Internet, for me, was a lot like letting a back-woods teenager loose in a 3-story Mall. There was so much to see, to do, and to explore! As I learned to work with search engines, I playfully typed in "Tarot." To my utter amazement, page upon page of website documents came rolling forth! I hardly knew where to begin... As I clicked on link after link, I began to realize that there were hundreds of beautiful Tarot decks. This was a revelation, as I had not found any other deck since I had purchased my Mythic Tarot.
One of my favorite Tarot decks is the Miracle Tarot by Reiko Shimitsu. It is beautiful, expressive, and simplistic. Reiko’s work captures, in simple lines and stunning pastels, the mysteries of the Tarot. Her work delights my heart and spirit. I have used her exquisite Miracle Tarot cards to decorate this Tarot website.
Since my eye-opening experience on the Internet, my collection of Tarot decks has grown by leaps and bounds. I am almost compulsive in my desire to own such lovely works of art. While I own a dozen or more decks, I use three decks for every-day readings: The Enchanted Tarot by Amy Zerner and Monte Farber, The Celtic Dragon by D.J. Conway and Lisa Hunt, and (not surprisingly) The Tarot of a Moon Garden by Karen Marie Sweikhardt. These decks have several things in common. They render consistently accurate Readings, they all are based on a world of fantasy, and they have lovely artwork. It is a pleasure to use these decks.
I am a proud member of the American Tarot Association. My certifications as a Tarot Reader are from the Tarot Certification Board (TCB). I am the author of "Tarot Inspired Stories," a monthly column in the metaphysical newspaper, The Emerging Awareness Journal of Southeastern Arizona. I have designed Tarot Spreads under my own copyright, and have written articles for various Tarot publications.
Tarot is a delightful world, full of mysteries and answers. It will be my pleasure to share my discoveries with you...
